Welcome to the Swiss Poker Sport Association (SPSA) , the national association of Swiss poker. Founded in 2016, we stand for the renaissance of poker; away from the money game - towards an attractive and professional competitive and mass sport. The Swiss Poker League is the team sport league of the SPSA. In it, the best poker teams in Switzerland compete for the title of Swiss champion. It is played in arenas across the country.
Poker requires mathematical and strategic skills . Artificial intelligence has been beating not only chess or go experts for several years, but also the world's best poker players. This shows that this is not a game of chance, but a demanding, high-performance mental sport.
At the same time, poker is easy to learn for non-professionals due to simple rules. The community has grown so much in recent years that it has to be called a trend sport. Therefore, marketing poker leagues and events as contemporary sporting events has the potential to cater to a mass market.
