Jakob de Bum

 Abingdon Karate, Martial Arts

Summary

13-year-old 2nd Dan black belt — Double World Champion (Individual Kata & Team Kumite), JKS World Championships Brazil 2026.

Description

Jakob de Brum is a 13-year-old 2nd Dan black belt from Abingdon, Oxfordshire — and now a double World Champion. At the JKS Karate World Championships in Brazil (August 2026), he claimed Gold in Individual Kata and Gold in Team Kumite, representing England as a proud JKS England Squad member. He has also earned an EKF E1 Gold, European Silver (Kata) and European Bronze (Team Kumite).

Jakob combines elite sport with a growing modelling and acting career — registered with three professional modelling agencies — and has been publicly endorsed by Jon Xue Zhang, stunt professional on Doctor Strange, Rogue One, Eternals and Hobbs & Shaw, who called him “exceptional”. He has trained in Shotokan karate since the age of 5 at Can Do Martial Arts, Abingdon.

His journey is followed across JDB Sports’ digital platforms (jdbsports.co.uk, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube), offering sponsors authentic, high-value exposure alongside a story that resonates with families, sports fans and youth audiences. He has been featured in the Oxford Mail and continues to build national media coverage following his World Championship victory. Three sponsors are already on board.

Sponsoring Jakob means placing your brand alongside a world champion — a disciplined, driven young athlete with genuine momentum and a story people want to follow.

Our preferred sponsor

Our Ideal Sponsor

We are looking for brands that want to be part of a genuine, high-achievement story — not just an advert. Our ideal sponsor values youth sport, discipline, and positive role models, and wants to reach families, sports enthusiasts, and youth audiences across England and beyond.

Businesses that benefit most: sports nutrition, health and wellness, clothing and apparel, fitness equipment, family-oriented brands, local Oxfordshire businesses building community profile, and any brand wanting coverage at international level ahead of the JKS World Championships in Brazil (August 2026).

Sponsorship is structured as a legitimate marketing expense with tiered options: Bronze (£100–£250), Silver (£250–£600), and Gold (£600–£1,200+), each with tailored logo placement, social media mentions, and content visibility. All packages include branding on competition kit, digital platforms, and the JDB Sports website.

Sponsorship Usage

Following Jakob's historic double gold at the JKS Karate World Championships in Brazil (August 2026), sponsorship now powers the next chapter — building on World Champion status into a full competitive season at the highest level.

Funds are used for ongoing training at Can Do Martial Arts (Abingdon), specialist conditioning and kata coaching, national and international competition entry fees, travel, equipment, and competition kit displaying sponsor branding. As a JKS England Squad member, Jakob competes regularly on the national and European circuit, giving sponsors consistent, high-profile visibility throughout the season.

A portion of funds also goes toward developing JDB Sports’ digital output — YouTube, TikTok (@jakob.de.brum), Instagram (@titobrum29), and jdbsports.co.uk — directly maximising sponsor reach and engagement with our growing audience of families, sports fans, and martial arts communities across the UK and beyond.
